Phased Priority Groups

The vaccination plan consists of three phases, each targeting specific layers of the population.

Phase 1

• Frontline healthcare workers – all public and private hospital staff, doctors, nurses, and support personnel.
• Essential services, defence, and security personnel – including the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Malaysian Police, People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA), Malaysian Prisons Department, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Social Welfare Department, and Volunteer Department of Malaysia.
• High-risk teachers – educators whose roles expose them to greater infection risk.

Phase 2

• Remaining healthcare, essential services, defence, and security staff not covered in Phase 1.
• Senior citizens aged 60 years and older.
• Individuals with chronic diseases such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.
• People with disabilities (OKU).

Phase 3

• All adults aged 18 and above, including both citizens and non‑citizens. Priority is given to residents of red zones (areas with high infection rates), followed by yellow zones, and finally green zones.

2. Select whether you belong to a high‑risk group – such as individuals with chronic conditions (heart disease, diabetes, obesity, hypertension).
3. Indicate your occupation – choose “healthcare worker” if you work in a public or private medical facility; choose “frontline essential services, defence, or security” if your job falls into those categories.
4. Tell the tool if you are pregnant or breastfeeding – in such cases, the tool advises consulting a doctor, as there is limited clinical evidence for routine vaccination during pregnancy.

After providing this information, the calculator displays the minimum and maximum number of people already ahead of you in the queue. It also predicts the time until you get the first and second doses, based on the assumed vaccination rate.

Adjusting Vaccination Assumptions

By default, the tool uses a vaccination rate of 100,000 doses per day (the government target was between 75,000 and 150,000 doses daily) and an uptake rate of 80%. For instance, a faster rollout would move your date earlier, while a slower rate pushes it later. Who Is Not Recommended to Receive the Vaccine?
